About Us

The Capitol to Alamo Relay is a joint venture between Runtex and Lone Star Relays.

Lone Star Relays is in its 3rd year of producing long distance relays in Texas. Though the operation has always been Lone Star Relays, it has become known for its original relay, the Texas Independence Relay. Lone Star Relays is excited to expand to 3 events, the TIR, C2A, and the Hillie Billie, in 2010! All three have their own distinct flavor – special in their own ways!

Runtex is celebrating 21 wonderful years of serving the running and fitness community in Austin! Time has absolutely flown since then, and now Runtex has grown to have 5 locations in the metro Austin area and be known as THE Capitol of Texas running/fitness.

Both Runtex and Lone Star Relays recognize how great a privilege it has been to get to know you and to be able to partner with you in your fitness related goals! Your well being and overall happiness – your smiles, friendships made through running, and fitness successes – are important to them! When they are able to be a part of any of that in any way… mission accomplished!
